JOB DESCRIPTION:   

Collect and gather market information and statistics from a wide range of Chinese companies in the telecom, IT hardware and software industries with independent sources of information and contacts; maintain an extensive coverage list and respond timely to breaking news developments on companies throughout the assigned sector; formulate and apply mathematical modeling methods to develop and interpret information and statistics of Asian market that assists Wedge Partners with business policy formulation and other managerial functions; plan Wedge Partners Asian business ventures and analyzing options by using statistical analysis, data mining, simulation, computer modeling, linear programming, and other mathematical techniques; direct and collaborate with senior managers and decision makers to ensure successful implementation of Wedge Partners Asian business strategy; review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement, and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement; study and analyze information and statistics about alternative courses of business action to determine the plan that will provide the best outcomes.
